                240B and the M-240 COAX Mounted Machine guns  


ACTION:
Read the FM (240B) on how the weapons operate (the M-240 series weapons all operate the same way).  Read the TM for both weapons. Be prepared to discuss how the M-240 operates using the correct weapon parts name in its functioning description. Be prepared to discuss the major parts of the TM and where to find the PMCS Step #, I&R Steps, Troubleshooting Chapter, Maintenance Allocation Chart, and the Repair Parts Section in class. Complete the written homework assignment.

CONDITION::
In a well lighted classroom environment and given an M-240 Machine, without a computer and without access to the internet, and without access to publications. Complete a 15 Question Quiz the 240 Machine gun. 

STANDARD:
A 15 Question Quiz will be administered for only the M-240 machine gun. Quiz questions are weighted equally for 5 points each and Passing is 70% and Certifying is 80%. Score for the M-240 quiz will be the same for the M-240B Quiz.

Complete the performance examination obtaining a score of 70% to 79% to pass or 80% and above to certify. Passing scores will be combined with the quiz and homework scores for an average grade for the subject tested. Any Failed Quizzes or homework must be retaken but only once. If a quiz/homework is failed the second time the student will be required to take the course over again at a later date. Quiz retakes will be accomplished during the lunch hour or from 0800-0830 the following day. Homework will be redone again and brought in the next day. Retake on quizzes and homework will have a maximum value of 80%. 
Failed  hands on examinations (below 70%) cannot be retested and student must retake the course at a future date.
