ACTION:
Read the FM (MK-19) on how the weapon operates. Read the TM'S for the weapon and the Night Vision Device. Be prepared to discuss how the weapon/NVD operates using the correct part names in their functioning / description. Be prepared to discuss the major parts of the TM's and where to find the PMCS Step #, I&R Steps, Troubleshooting Chapter, Maintenance Allocation Chart, and the Repair Parts Section in class. Complete the written homework assignments.
CONDITION::
In a well lighted class room and given a hands on instruction examination sheet, an MK-19 Machine gun, and Secondary Alignment gage, and without help or the use of a computer or notes for the hands on portion, and complete A 15 Question Quiz with the use of a computer and class notes
STANDARD:
Complete the Hands on examination within thirty minutes.The Hands on for the MK-19 consists of; Disassembly of the MK-19 will count 25 points. Assembly will count 25 points. Proper nomenclature for part names will count 25 points. Proper gauging of the secondary drive lever will count 25 points. Quiz on the MK-19 and the ANPVS-7B, all quiz questions are weighted equally for 5 points each for 100 total points. Passing is 70% and Certifying is 80%.
