ACTION:
Read the FM on how the weapons operate.  Read -10 & 23&P TM’s for each weapon. Be prepared to discuss how the weapons operate using the correct weapon part name in its functioning description. Be prepared to discuss the major parts of the TM’s and where to find the PMCS Step #, I&R Steps, Troubleshooting Chapter, Maintenance Allocation Chart, and the Repair Parts Section in class. Complete the written homework assignments 1ea for the weapon and,

CONDITION::
In a well light classroom,
given a written instruction examination sheet, a computer, internet access, an M-203 Grenade Launcher mounted on a M-4 Carbine, A DA form 2404, DD form 314, DA form 2408-14 and a DA form 2407, inspect the Launcher IAW the TM and perform a Quarterly maintenance finding installed defects and properly record same on TAMMS forms  IAW DA Pam 750-8 and AR 700-138, Complete a 20 Question Quiz on the M-9 Pistol and the Launcher . 

STANDARD:
Quiz questions are weighted equally for 5 points each. Passing is 70% and Certifying is 80%.   Performance (hands on) examination for the M-16A2/A4 Rifle is weighted as follows: Passing is 70% and Certifying is 80%. Forms mistakes count 2 points each week 1. Missed Defects count 10 points each. Safety violations count 10 points each. Required forms not submitted count 15 points each.  A 20 Question Quiz will be administered for the M-9 Pistol and 15 questions for the M-203 Grenade Launcher. Quiz questions are weighted equally for 5 points each. Passing is 70% and Certifying is 80%. A Performance (hands on) examination for the M-203 is weighted as follows: Passing is 70% and Certifying is 80%.
